Paul Martinez, Director of Intragovernmental Services for the City of Jacksonville, is departing city employment effective July 31.

In an email, CAO Sam Mousa stated that “Paul’s last day at work for the City will be Friday, July 31, 2015. The mayor neither rejected nor accepted Paul’s resignation letter that was submitted at the beginning of the Mayoral transition.  Paul on his own decided to accept a leadership role with the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Northeast Florida. Paul desired to leave City employment as soon as possible and I accommodated his request.”

Greg Pease will take over Martinez’s position on an interim basis.

FloridaPolitics.com readers became acquainted with Martinez during the June departmental budget review process.
