Donald Trump calls Eric Erickson a “total loser” after being banned from RedState event

Donald Trump is not backing down  at all after being dis-invited to speak at tonight’s RedState gathering in Atlanta by organizer Eric Erickson.

Erickson issued a statement around midnight on Fridaym saying that Trump was no longer invited to speak as the headliner for the second day of the conservative conference in Atlanta, which featured other GOP candidates like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. Erickson booted the New York businessman after his derogatory comments towards Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. Trump had been on a rampage all day on Friday in criticizing Kelly, who put him on the spot during Thursday’s presidential debate by asking him about sexist comments he had made in the past.

Trump told CNN on Friday that “you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever” as she questioned him during Thursday’s Republican presidential debate.

That prompted Erickson to issue his statement, saying that, “As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.”

The Trump camp fired back this morning.

“Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad — she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard,” the statement began. ” Mr. Trump said “blood was coming out of her eyes and whatever” meaning nose, but wanted to move on to more important topics. Only a deviant would think anything else.”

The statemen then went off on Erickson, who has made a series of provocative statements himself over the years.

“By the way, the guy (Erick Erickson) who made the decision about RedState called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a “goat [expletive] child molester” and First Lady Michelle Obama a “Marxist Harpy.” He was forced to make a humbling apology. Also, not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event. Mr. Trump is an outsider and does not fit his agenda.  Many of the 900 people that wanted to hear Mr. Trump speak tonight have been calling and emailing—they are very angry at Erickson and the others that are trying to be so politically correct. To them Mr. Trump says, “We will catch you at another time soon.”

Erickson also once said the media had “gang-raped” conservative politicians, among other choice comments.

But it’s Trump who is the leader in the polls for the GOP presidential nomination. The big story moving forward in the next couple of days will be whether his performance at the initial Republican presidential debate of the year in Cleveland helped or hurt him in his improbable campaign. Many analysts are predicting that his high poll ratings will take a tumble. Then again, they said the same thing after he dissed John McCain in Iowa a month ago, saying he wasn’t a war hero.

“Loser, jerk, idiot, dummy …” Donald really needs to crack open a thesaurus and expand his repertoire of petty insults.
