Leonard Boord and Michael Joseph appointed to Florida International University Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Leonard Boord and Michael Joseph to the Florida International University Board of Trustees.

Boord, 54, of Coral Gables, is the founder and chief executive officer of Slon Capital. He currently serves as a member of the Celistics Holdings SL Board of Directors. Boord succeeds Sukrit Agrawal and is appointed for a term beginning August 26, 2015, and ending January 6, 2020.

Joseph, 53, of Coral Gables, is the east Florida division president of HCA. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Miami. Joseph succeeds Marcelo Claure and is appointed for a term beginning August 26, 2015, and ending January 6, 2020.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
