Former RPOF Chair Leslie Dougher beat out Republican House District 19 hopefuls Katherine Van Zant and Robert Payne for the second month in a row after posting nearly $10,000 in contributions for August.
Dougher pulled in most of her $9,977 haul from a trio of real estate industry political committees as well as a myriad of small checks from several Jacksonville and Clay County-area Realtors, a handful of whom were repeat donors from July.
After expenditures, Dougher’s campaign had $28,736 on-hand at the end of the month, which puts her right on the heel of Payne, who has seen a major drop off in contributions since a strong start in the spring. He brought in $600 in August and has $34,209 on hand.
Van Zant came in a little behind Dougher, with $9,015 in contributions for the month, though her early start in the race has put a decent gap between her and the other candidates when it comes to overall funds. She ended the month with $44,660 cash on hand.
