The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and two prominent Florida Republicans have weighed in on it as ESPN reports.

Their Jaguars beat writer, Mike DiRocco, tweeted on Saturday evening that “Jacksonville Mayor defends the and predicts a big win over the Dolphins on Sunday.”

Senator Marco Rubio, who hasn’t been shy about his sports opinions of late, volunteered some fantasy football advice; to start Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill against the Jaguars because “The Dolphins should win again this week!”

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, whose appreciation for the Jaguars is second to none (including attending multiple training camp practices), fired back at one of his key mayoral endorsers.

“Senator my led by my man is gonna lay it on your ,” Curry Tweeted back.

Happily, party unity is not lost: both men are fans of the Florida Gators, who play at Kentucky on Saturday night.

Look for one or both men to have more to say after the Kentucky game is safely out of reach.
