Some things are constant. The sun rises in the east. Rainy days and Mondays always got Karen Carpenter down. And Jacksonville’s local Fraternal Order of Police surprised precisely no one with its Friday afternoon endorsement of Angela Corey‘s re-election bid for State Attorney of the 4th Circuit.
Citing Corey’s “proven track record of enforcing the law,” and “unprecedented level of support and concern” for “families impacted by the criminal element,” the letter from Fraternal Order of Police head Steve Amos says that “Jacksonville is certainly a better and safer place to raise a family” because of Corey’s service.
Corey, meanwhile, had this to say in a written statement.
“Our re-election campaign for State Attorney of the 4th Judicial Circuit kicked off 3 ½ months ago. We are thrilled to announce that the Fraternal Order of Police 5-30 has endorsed Angela Corey for State Attorney 2016,” Corey writes.
“Our campaign momentum is building! So far, we have raised $185,678.50. We are so grateful for the support of the Police and the community! We look forward to continuing our work with Law Enforcement to protect the citizens of the 4th Judicial Circuit,” Corey continues.
