With a little more than a month left to go in the race, a new mailer from Realtor Nathan Chambers slams Orlando City District 6 Commissioner Sam Ings as being too extreme.

Calling him “Silent” Sam, Chamber blasts Ings for cutting police services, running up $125,000 in city issued credit card charges on expensive hotels and parties, and supporting the 17.7 percent property tax increase They have been the main avenue of attacks not only against Ings, but other city leaders up for re-election this November.

Despite the attacks, Ings has been quiet in recent weeks.

This past Wednesday, the incumbent skipped a debate with Chambers and three other challengers. As of Monday morning, his campaign has not said whether Ings will attend a candidate forum in Downtown Orlando in late October, which also features candidates from both the District 4 and Orlando Mayor races.

Other District 6 challengers include law professor Ka’Juel Washington, insurance agent Marcus Robinson, and activist Lawanna Gelzer.
