Addison Davis running for Clay County School Supe

On Wednesday, Addison Davis, an educator with over 15 years of experience in Duval County Schools, announced his intentions to take his talents to the Clay County School District, where he is running for Superintendent.

“Today I am excited to announce my candidacy for Clay County Superintendent of Schools,” said Davis, “My experience in the classroom and in multiple supervisory roles have prepared me to lead our school district to higher achievement.”

Davis, Chief of Schools in Duval County since 2014, plans to “unify the district and focus all decision making on student needs” in order to “accelerate student achievement together to ensure that Clay County Schools become a leader in education in Florida once again.”

Davis, who started out as a teacher at Lee High School in 1999, holds a master’s in education from Jacksonville University.
