Fernandina Beach Republican Sheri Treadwell has been hailed by some Republicans as the party’s only chance to drop Donnie Horner in the crowded six-way GOP primary to replace Janet Adkins.
With this in mind, the former Duval supervisor of elections worker’s fundraising has been something to watch. September saw another month of decent, though not eye-popping, fundraising returns.
About $5,700 in September took Treadwell up to $40,910.
Notable names and figures include:
- The Morales Construction Co., helmed by Northeast Florida Builders Association head Ed Morales, came through with $200.
- The Committee for Economic Development, a Fernandina Beach PAC, gave $500.
- Former State Sen. Steve Wise donated $100.
Treadwell trails Donnie Horner, who has raised $73K, in the fundraising derby. Horner seems to be the choice of the power brokers; Treadwell, the rank and file.
