It’s unknown at press time whether Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is making a list or checking it twice. What is known, however, is that Jacksonville’s City Hall will hold an Holiday-themed open house Wednesday night at Art Walk, and the mayor and the First Lady will be central to it.
“Christmas is such a special time for my family,” said Curry in a statement. “There are so many fun, free and exciting holiday activities being hosted across the city for citizens to enjoy.”
The event includes, according to the Curry comms shop, “holiday crafts and activities, a scavenger hunt, entertainment and more inside City Hall.
Mrs. Curry will read Minions: Snow Day to families at 6:15 p.m. in the City Hall Atrium, asserts the release. Then, the lighting of the St. James Holiday Tree by the Curry family at 7 p.m. in Hemming Park.
However, that’s not all that’s in store. Those who attend will be able to meet Curry and his senior staff in the mayor’s suite. Additionally, claims the release, City Council Chambers will be open for the public.
As well, “City Council President Gregory B. Anderson and the Jacksonville City Council invite you and your family to a Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall at St. James, Suite 425.”
No word on whether eggnog will be served.
