Though talk is that a candidate still might jump into the House District 16 primary between Jason Fischer and Dick Kravitz, that candidate won’t get the support of the Northeast Florida Builders’ Association.
NEFBA released a statement on Wednesday backing Fischer, who runs to replace termed-out Charles McBurney.
“It is vital that we have strong leadership at both the state and local levels of government,” said Rick Morales, 2015 NEFBA president and president of Morales Construction Co. “We are confident that Mr. Fischer will support the continued economic growth and success of the region.”
Fischer has an almost 4 to 1 fundraising advantage, when his PAC Conservative Solutions for Jacksonville is thrown in to the mix. The NEFBA endorsement can be seen as an augury of other meaningful institutional endorsements to come for Fischer, a current member of the Duval County School Board.
