Dick Kravitz

In the House District 16 money race, rumors of the demise of Dick Kravitz have been exaggerated. December was his second straight month of five-figure fundraising.

The $10,025 haul brings the Jacksonville Republican’s total up to $59,150, against $3,864 spent.

Notable Kravitz backers include Councilman Jim Love, Jax Chamber Chair-elect Audrey Moran, and former Councilman Stephen Joost.

Of the donations, $5,000 came into Kravitz’s campaign account on New Year’s Eve from companies affiliated with N.G. Wade.

Kravitz’s spend in December: $500 to The Whitson Group.

Jason Fischer, Kravitz’s opponent, still has an over 3-to-1 advantage in fundraising between his campaign account and his PAC, Conservative Solutions for Jacksonville, with December numbers pending.

The story to watch: Will money from other Chamber types follow the lead of liberal Republican Moran into the Kravitz column?
