In the six-way brawl for the GOP nod in HD 11, every endorsement counts. And on Monday, Sheri Treadwell announced one.
Former Florida Republican Women President Cynthia Henderson, in a statement, says Treadwell “will bring a strong conservative perspective to Tallahassee.”
“Sheri Treadwell is hardworking, knowledgeable, and a thoroughly committed conservative woman,” said Henderson. “Her experience at the federal, state and local levels of our government, as well as a mother, will give her a unique and fresh perspective that will be invaluable in the Florida House. I look forward to seeing the great things she will do!”
Henderson, who held two Cabinet Secretary posts in the Jeb Bush administration, is the GOP state committeewoman from Leon County. One expects that Henderson’s backing will help Treadwell in terms of fundraising.
As well, Henderson’s backing emphasizes that among the six candidates currently vying to replace Janet Adkins, Treadwell is the only female.
Currently, she is a competitive second place in the money race to Donnie Horner, with all other candidates lagging behind.
