Aaron Bean courts Rick Scott, backs Enterprise Florida
Las Vegas Strip transforms into a Grand Prix.

One of the big stories of last legislative session: Rick Scott was not on the “Bean Team,” with budget vetoes that shocked Aaron Bean, as Tia Mitchell wrote.

Since then, Bean has attempted to mend fences. Steve Bousquet documented Bean’s awkward sounding attempt to rebuild a relationship last year.

And now, Bean has kissed Scott’s ring anew, signing on in support of Enterprise Florida reforms, as have so many lawmakers in the last couple of months.

Senator Bean, in a statement, said, “I’m proud to support the proposal to create the Florida Enterprise Fund and improve the economic development process at Enterprise Florida. Enterprise Florida has been integral to creating jobs in our local communities. These reforms will continue to diversify our local economy, empower our small businesses, and create even more great jobs. Governor Scott is to be congratulated for striving to make Florida’s economy the strongest in the nation, as well as number one in job growth.”
