The National Organization For Woman Political Action Committee has endorsed Susannah Randolph in the Orlando-based Congressional District 9 race.
The endorsement comes even though Randolph is battling with two other Democratic women, Dr. Dena Minning and Valleri Crabtree, along with state Sen. Darren Soto and former state Rep. Ricardo Rangel.
They’re all seeking the Democratic nomination to replace U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando, who is running for the U.S. Senate rather than for re-election, in the Democratically-leaning district.
The NOW PAC decided to endorse – and presumably help fund – Randolph, citing her efforts and positions on reproductive rights, pay equality, pay time off and affordable, quality child care.
“Susannah has worked to ensure women’s equality in every realm and has been a key ally to NOW,” Meredith Ockman, Southeast regional director of NOW, stated in a news release issued by Randolph’s campaign.
