Aaron Bean’s campaign account jumps in January
Las Vegas Strip transforms into a Grand Prix.

About $43,000 in January donations brought state Sen. Aaron Bean‘s campaign account up to $136,700, with more than $92,500 cash on hand for the Fernandina Beach Republican’s re-election bid.

Especially enthusiastic about the Bean Team: Northeast Florida anesthesiologists. Eleven of them made $500 contributions, which adds up to a lot of Novocaine at today’s prices.

The generosity of PACs and Big Pharma also abounded, with maximum buy-in from Lenny Curry‘s Build Something that Lasts and Eli Lilly highlighting a lot of max donations from those sectors.

On the expenditure side, no money was spent on consultants. However, Jan. 19 saw the Bean Team go to two separate Wal-Marts for campaign supplies, spending $486.25 and $492.74 respectively.
