Marco Rubio is taking swipes at Donald Trump.
Rubio is out with a new video highlighting his debate performance on Thursday. The new online video — called Knockout — is a mash-up of Rubio hitting Trump
In the one-minute video, “Eye of the Tiger” plays, as Rubio taking swipes at Trump, plus political commentators commenting on his debate performance.
“A lot of people looked at Marco Rubio tonight and said that’s the guy who can take on Donald Trump, and I can’t see him against Hillary Clinton,” one commentator is heard saying.
As the proverbial mic drops at the end of the video, a man is heard asking: “Who won the debate?”
“Rubio,” says a chorus of people.
Rubio trails Trump in the polls, including in his home state of Florida. According to two public polls released this week, Trump holds a double-digit lead over Rubio. A third poll shows Trump leading by a much slimmer margin.
Super Tuesday is March 1, followed by Florida’s winner-take-all primary on March 15.
