Gov. Rick Scott announced marketing company Inside Sales Solutions will be moving its headquarters to St. Petersburg’s Innovation District.

The move adds 50 jobs and an estimated $29,000 in investments to Pinellas County.

“I am proud to announce that Inside Sales is a growing company that chose Florida over Texas, Georgia, and Kansas,” Scott said in a prepared statement Thursday. “Inside Sales also plans to relocate their national headquarters from New York in the near future. I am proud that we have cut taxes 55 times which saves Floridians $5.5 billion and keeps companies choosing Florida over other states.”

Inside Sales Solutions Principal Aiden Snee said the company was “thrilled” to put its headquarters in St. Petersburg, and that Pinellas County “is a thriving coastal community with the energetic workforce we hope to attract.”

“Being a stone’s throw from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg will be a boom to our recruiting efforts,” he said.

Though exact details of the expansion were not released, the deal was helped along by economic development money from state and local governments that will provide Inside Sales Solutions with a tax rebate for each job it adds.

St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman called Inside Sales Solutions one of the area’s fastest-growing tech companies and said its presence in the Innovation District near downtown St. Petersburg “provides great opportunities for employees to experience everything our city has to offer.”

“St. Petersburg’s unique sense of place brings people and ideas together in the most creative mix in all of Florida. The result is growing companies with growing revenue,” he said. “We welcome another great company from New York City to Florida’s best city.”
