The city of Orlando is getting into the open-data game.
Mayor Buddy Dyer and Police Chief John Mina are planning to unveil a new website that offers city-specific data for developers and the general public.
The data that will be available on the website include business permits, business tax receipts, police calls for service, trash routes and maps of commissioners’ districts.
City officials say the website aligns with President Barack Obama‘s Task Force on 21st Century Policing to use data to build trust between the public and police.
