Tina Dupuy, a nationally syndicated columnist and former managing editor for the progressive blog Crooks and Liars, has been hired to serve as Florida Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson’s communications director in his Washington office, beginning next week.
Dupuy replaces Ken Scudder, who announced earlier this month that he was leaving his post with Grayson to take a position with the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee.
That news was confirmed to FloridaPolitics.com by a Grayson staffer. Dupuy broke the news herself on the biography page of her Twitter account.
According to her website, Dupuy had just begun a stint serving as a communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Grayson is currently running in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, where he is neck and neck in the polls with Jupiter Congressman Patrick Murphy.
