The state of Florida dropped charges against a conservative South Florida political blogger.

On Monday, the State Attorney’s Office said it would not file attempted murder and battery charges against Javier Manjarres, the conservative blogger behind the Shark Tank blog. Manjarres was arrested in March after police reports had said he fired a weapon at an occupied vehicle.

POLITICO Florida first reported the decision to drop the charges against Manjarres.

In March, Jason Holowinski told the Boca Raton police that he was struck in the face and head by Manjarres. He also said Manjarres fired three shots from his firearm into the driver side door and the bed of his pickup truck.

According to court documents, prosecutors decided not to pursue charges because the victim “failed to cooperate by refusing to identify to view a lineup.”
