Connie Hall won’t run for re-election to Duval County School Board

In a message to supporters, Duval County School Board member Connie Hall said she won’t run for re-election — and who she is backing.

“While the past four years have been more fulfilling than I could have imagined, the time has come to pass the mantle of leadership to the next generation,” Hall wrote, saying she has “decided not to seek re-election” and has “decided to confidently endorse Hank Rogers … a Duval County resident and former Florida House senior staffer who intends to run for the seat.”

In endorsing Rogers, Connie Hall is not endorsing Bradford Hall, a local political operative in the Corrine Brown orbit, for the seat.

Bradford Hall had previously run against Paula Wright for a different school board seat in 2014, but opted not to qualify for the ballot by June of that year.

Connie Hall, meanwhile, had an interesting last few months regarding her own school board tenure. Connie Hall claims she was followed after a meeting last November by an SUV containing Superintendent Nikolai Vitti‘s wife.

The Vittis deny such a thing happened.
