David Vasquez has come onboard as campaign manager for the re-election campaign of Republican state Rep. Bob Cortes of Longwood.
Vasquez is a former communications staffer for both the now-ended Ron DeSantis for U.S. Senate campaign and the Republican Party of Florida, where he specialized in Hispanic media outreach. He also worked last year as an assistant at the RPOF’s Florida Sunshine Summit, which attracted 14 presidential candidates, as well as U.S. Senate candidates such as DeSantis.
“David Vasquez is a very bright young man, and he is a great addition to our team,” Cortes stated in a news release. “As our campaign moves forward, David’s leadership will be very effective in getting our message out to District 30 voters. I look forward to working with him to connect with more folks who share our vision of more jobs and increased opportunity in our area and our state.”
Cortes has won the Republican nomination and will face Democrat Ryan Yadav in the general election Nov. 8.
