House releases bill filing deadlines for 2017

The Florida House of Representatives has released bill filing deadlines for the 2017 Legislative Session.

A memo to members went out Friday:

January 13, 2017 — Early member bill request submission deadline for at least 2 of the 6 bills subject to the member bill filing limit (5 p.m.)

January 24, 2017 — Early member bill filing deadline for at least 2 of the 6 bills subject to the member bill filing limit (NOON)

January 27, 2017 — Final member bill request submission deadline for all other bills (except Appropriations Project Bills) subject to opening day filing, including requests for companion bills (5 p.m.)

February 5, 2017 — Deadline for publication of notice for local bills in order to be available for opening day introduction.

February 7, 2017 — Submission deadline for Appropriation Project Request forms for Appropriations Project Bills (5 p.m.)

March 3, 2017 — Deadline for all member bill requests to be in final draft form, including requests for companion bills (5 p.m.)

March 7, 2017 — Regular Session begins; filing deadline for all other member bills subject to the opening day deadline (NOON)

April 6, 2017 — Ceremonial resolution request submission deadline (5 p.m.)

April 20, 2017 — Ceremonial resolution filing deadline (prior to the 46th day)
