The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association’s Political Action Committee has announced its endorsements for this fall’s elections including that of Republican Bobby Olszewski for the special election to fill House District 44 in southwest Orange County.
The association’s PAC also endorsed all three Orlando City Commission incumbents, Jim Gray in District 1, Robert Stuart in District 3, and Regina Hill in District 5, in the upcoming city election.
Olszewski won the Aug. 15 Republican primary over John Newstreet, who had earned the hotel association PAC’s endorsement in that contest. Olszewski now faces Democratic nominee Paul Chandler in an Oct. 10 election to replace Republican former state Rep. Eric Eisnaugle, who resigned in the spring.
In the Nov. 7 non-partisan Orlando city general election, Gray faces Charles Thomas Keen; Stuart faces Asima Azam, and Hill faces numerous challengers including Jibreel Ali, Ericka Dunlap, Sarah Abuobaida Elbadri, and Cynthia Harris.
“The CFHLA-PAC Board has determined that the following endorsed candidates will be ‘champions’ of Central Florida’s hospitality industry,” the association stated on its webpage.
