As of the close of qualifying on Friday, 18 appellate judges had formally qualified for merit-retention elections in November.
They include Florida Supreme Court Justice Alan Lawson, formerly a 5th District Court of Appeal judge.
The others are:
1st District Court of Appeal: Harvey Jay, Stephanie Ray, Brad Thomas, Kemmerly Thomas, Allen Winsor.
While Winsor qualified for the ballot, he also has been tapped by President Donald Trump to become a federal district judge; that selection remains subject to U.S. Senate confirmation.
2nd District Court of Appeal: Anthony K. Black, Darryl C. Casanueva, Edward C. LaRose, Susan H. Rothstein-Youakim.
3rd District Court of Appeal: Kevin Emas, Ivan F. Fernandez, Norma Shepard Lindsey, Robert Joshua Luck.
4th District Court of Appeal: Burton C. Conner, Jeffrey T. Kuntz, Carole Y. Taylor.
5th District Court of Appeal: Eric Eisnaugle. He is a former GOP state representative picked last year by Gov. Rick Scott to replace Lawson.
The judges are listed on the state Division of Elections website.

They are called district courts of appeal. Circuit courts are trial courts.
