Ahead of a trip to Israel later this month, Gov. Rick Scott has a message for President Donald Trump: the United States needs to junk the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
The accord saw sanctions lifted on Iran, with the country committing (at least in theory) to stop pursuing nuclear weapons.
Scott, a candidate for Senate this year, took another in a series of hardline positions Friday in his letter to Pres. Trump.
“I urge you to withdraw immediately to ensure the safety of the United States, Israel and all of our allies,” Scott wrote Trump Friday.
“I have continued to be very vocal about the dangers of the Iran deal, and I believe we must withdraw and scrap it entirely. I do not believe this agreement can be fixed – we need a complete reset. The information presented by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week further confirms the urgent need to withdraw,” Scott added.
The letter was sent in Scott’s capacity as Governor; however, it is clear that the benefits of the missive will be for Scott as Senate candidate.
Trump has vacillated on verbal opposition to the deal, yet Gov. Scott joins a chorus on the right intent on driving a final reneging on the accord’s controversial conditions.

Scott is insane. It is a FACT that Iran would have been able to deploy PLUTONIUM bombs two years ago. The OBAMA deal stopped this weapon program — period. Trump & Scott ignore this reality with scaremongering PROPAGANDA.
