Scott, Wednesday also announced that Ken Detzner will remain as Florida’s chief election official. Detzner has been Secretary of State since 2012. He had a history with the department, serving as Secretary of State’s Jim Smith’s chief of staff in 2002.
“Ken has been instrumental in overseeing fair and transparent elections in Florida,” said Scott. “Ken has done a great job working with Election Supervisors to ensure a smooth election process.”
