Naples Republican Sen. Kathleen Passidomo is hosting a fundraiser at the Governors Club next month.
The event will be held Feb. 6 at the Governors Club, 202 South Adams St., starting at 5 p.m. The fundraisier will benefit the second-term senator’s 2022 re-election bid as well as her affiliated political committee, Working Together for Florida PAC.
Passidomo has proven to be a prolific fundraiser since joining the Senate in 2016. Her two campaigns brought in $1.15 million in hard money, while her committee has piled on an equal amount since it opened in mid-2014.
Her Senate District 28 seat is solidly red — she won re-election with nearly two-thirds of the vote two years ago — so a good deal of her fundraising efforts have been geared toward helping her GOP colleagues win re-election.
Assuming Republicans maintain their majority in the upper chamber through 2022, her boosterism has given her a solid chance to take over as Senate President after Trilby Sen. Wilton Simpson. The leadership race is still in its infancy, with Se. Travis Hutson also very much in the mix.
Those looking to attend Passidomo’s fundraiser can send an RSVP to Kristin Lamb via [email protected]. The invitation is below.
