Pinellas County Commissioner Janet Long, who filed for reelection in 2020 earlier this month, is holding a fundraising event on Monday, June 17.
The Pinellas politician has called for a statewide climate change coalition and transportation governance, among other requests, during her two terms. If reelected, this will be her third term in the seat.
In 2018, Janet made No. 19 on Florida Politics’ list of Tampa Bay’s most powerful politicians.
“Commissioner Long has an unparalleled passion for regional solutions and isn’t afraid to fight for what she believes in,” said Southern Strategy Group’s Laura Boehmer, of the campaigning commissioner.
Joining Long for a fundraising event supporting her reelection, Monday, June 17, 5:30 — 7:30 p.m. at Island Way Grill in Clearwater.

She doesn’t deserve to be re-elected. After all the drama and lack of oversight of the past few years she should be ashamed to show her face.
