Rick Wilson’s new book, ‘Running Against the Devil,’ set to preview 2020 election
Rick Wilson has never been as popular as he is right now.

“I don’t pull any punches.”

That’s the message from Republican strategist Rick Wilson as he announced a new book previewing the 2020 presidential election.

Wilson, a noted critic of President Donald Trump, is not-so-subtly titling the book “Running Against the Devil: A Plot to Save America from Trump — and Democrats From Themselves.”

The book is due out on Jan. 14, 2020. Wilson put out a news release Wednesday afternoon announcing the new project.

“In ‘Running Against The Devil,’ I lay out how to beat Trump in 2020, using the painful lessons of 2016 and the last three years,” Wilson said.

“I blow the lid off exactly how the powerful Republican machine behind Trump will operate, and how to defeat Trump’s tricks, traps, and Twitter feed in 2020.”

Democrats ratcheted up the pressure on Trump this week, appearing to signal a willingness to move forward with impeachment.

How that will impact the upcoming election remains to be seen. But Wilson’s book aims to give tips to the opposition party for taking on the incumbent President he’s grown to loathe.

While Wilson argues Trump’s in a weak spot when it comes to earning reelection, he says the 2020 election is no sure thing for Democrats.

“Trump can’t win, but the Democrats can sure as hell lose,” Wilson argues.

“Only one thing can save Trump, and that’s a Democratic candidate who runs the race Trump wants them to run instead of the campaign they must run to win in 2020. In ‘Everything Trump Touches Dies,’ I took on what Donald Trump is doing to our politics, our country, and our sanity.

“Every day, he proves me right. ‘Running Against The Devil’ is a continued indictment of the worst president in our history, and a roadmap to removing him from office.”

Wilson’s book will be released just weeks before Democratic voters begin selecting their candidate of choice. The Iowa caucuses will be held Feb. 3.
