Joe Henderson: Rick Scott still stokes the myth of a rigged and stolen election

Rick Scott
Scott said people back home are “furious that the whole system is rigged.” It isn't.

At a U.S. Senate committee meeting Wednesday, Florida’s Rick Scott offered what I guess he considers “proof” of an unsecured hot mess in the 2020 election. Pay close attention to the key words he said in making that point.

“It’s so simplistic when you hear about people who are dead that vote, people that don’t live in the state that vote. You hear all these things, and there’s no recourse,” Scott said, emphasis mine.

Well, we heard Republicans spout double-sized fables about hanky and panky during the election. What we didn’t see was evidence to back up their desperate pleas that Democrats stole the presidency.

That’s because there is none, but why let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy?

Let’s see if we can unravel this.

Here’s a to-do list Democrats would have needed to steal the election the way Donald Trump alleges they did.

First, persuade Republican governors in Arizona and Georgia to rig votes so a Democrat can win there.

Then bring the Republican-led Board of Supervisors in Arizona’s Maricopa County into the plot so they will certify the county’s results.

Make sure key precincts use voting technology that will switch Trump votes to Joe Biden.

Solicit support from the Great Beyond so dead people can vote because everyone knows all dead people are Democrats.

Recruit judges from around the country to dismiss GOP lawsuits against the election. For a special touch, make sure the three U.S. Supreme Court justices Trump appointed are in on the plot. That’ll drive Trump crazy.

Here’s where it gets really good. Have Trump’s own cybersecurity head, Christopher Krebs, say on the record there was no election fraud. Then, oh I can’t believe how devious the Democrats are, have Trump toady Attorney General William Barr echo that.

And finally, make sure Mitch McConnell remains in power and possibly keeps his title of Senate Majority Leader. That will throw investigators off the scent.

I guess they didn’t think to recruit Rick Scott, though.

Scott said that when he goes home to Naples, people are “furious that the whole system is rigged.”

I guess pandering to that paranoid gibberish is easier than gently saying, “No, this is how Democracy works. Our guy lost.”

Scott doesn’t have much experience with losing though – well, besides that little setback that happened on his watch as head of Columbia/HCA health care. The company paid $840 million in fines and pled guilty to Medicare fraud. Holy cow, that’s a lot of fraud.

Anyway, Scott won all three statewide elections in which he ran. He wasn’t on the ballot this time, but Scott also was totally in the bag for Trump. So, it’s kind of like he lost. Guess he can’t handle that.

By the way, if there was a major problem, we might have to remind everyone that Republicans blocked three bills to strengthen election security.

For the 917th time, if Republicans had proof of real and substantial fraud, they would have shouted it on every news show and on the front page of every newspaper.

Alas, they didn’t, which is why they did the next best thing and just made it up.

Many GOP lawmakers finally accept the reality that Biden won a fair election.

For now, Scott is not among them.

We can see and hear for ourselves that he is wrong.

I mean, it’s so simplistic.

Scott imperfect. What about the evil guy who almost beat Governor DeSantis
People are scared. You bring up Scott and fraud. Is there no one who is balanced anymore? What about Biden’s blatant lies in 1988? I’m a shoe shine kid from upstate New York. I thought there were some honest folks that I admired as a kid in Poughkeepsie NY.
I’m just sad I can’t find an honest objective voice from anywhere. I’m glad God didn’t make me smart enough to be a deceiver. No doubt I would probably be part of the problem but I didn’t become a lier , opps, lawyer like my biological father.

“Furious “? Wtf Nazi Rick?! Florida we have to call this damn Nazi killer Scott out every day! Obviously Nazi Rick is trying to out-crazy the goptrump death cult sociopaths Duffus Desantis and DUI Gaetz! Maybe we should place these three in a BUNKER to figure out who is , among themselves, the biggest killer of Floridians !

Mr. Henderson, $840M? You are too kind. The source you cite actually lists about 990,000,000, including what look like subsidiaries and affiliates, I know I have seen figures of 1.3 billion with fines, costs and restitution.

With regard to Rick’s medicare issues, you are a true conservative! Your far right readers should appreciate this.

I say our senator, now protected by the statute of limitations as well as the settlement, should offer up the answers to those 74 questions.

Joe you and your cronies are delusional. Most of America realizes there was voter fraud yet you keep signing the swamp’s mantra that none occurred.

“For the 917th time, if Republicans had proof of real and substantial fraud, they would have shouted it on every news show and on the front page of every newspaper.”

Joe, you know you can’t shout it thus if you have an stone phalanx of leftist editors and producers standing between one party and the American reader and listener–like the folks in St. Pete who cut the throat of your newspaper five years ago.

It really is sick that some people still think that this election “the safest in history” was rigged. Where were they in 2016 when Putin rigged it for Drumph?? And if you believe tRump over the 17 US Intelligence agencies that said Russia did so, you might just want to stop calling yourself a patriot or Christian.

Psychotics live in denial and cover up. Like the dolt above who claims that if we had proof, we’d shout it on every news show and on the front page of every newspaper. This psychotic KNOWS MSM networks/news/newspapers/facebook/twitter refuse to post the facts that have been coming out for many weeks now. I posted links above that provides just some of the evidence, but psychotics who lie, deny, cover up will not bother checking it out. There have been several hearings with witness testimony in several states, videos showing fraud in action and other proof of stealing this election on several YOUTUBE sites, on Newsmax, on NTD, and other news providers. Cheaters, liars and those who are not bothered by corruption in an effort to get what they want, will deny and lie.
