Florida’s count of COVID-19 patients in hospitals rose to another record, filling 13,435 beds, the Florida Hospital Association says.
That record day, reported Sunday by Florida officials to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and then publicly shared through a tweet by the Florida Hospital Association, now is well above any count seen before this summer of Florida hospital beds filled with COVID-19 patients.

The Florida Hospital Association counts confirmed cases, contending the previous worst was on July 23, 2020, when 10,378 COVID-19 patients were reported in Florida hospitals. That number was exceeded last Monday. The Florida census of hospitalized COVID-19 patients has gone up every day since.
State officials had maintained that they preferred to go by the count of the number of inpatient beds used for COVID-19 cases, which had previously peaked at 11,909 on July 25, 2020. However, that number was exceeded last Thursday. Increasingly higher numbers have been posted every day since.
Extracting data from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Florida Hospital Association reported Sunday that 29.3% of all beds in Florida hospitals are now occupied by COVID-19 patients. Among adult ICU beds in Florida hospitals, 43.8% now are occupied by COVID-19 patients.
The Florida Hospital Association also reported that a record number of new cases were confirmed for one day, with 23,903 new cases confirmed.
For several weeks now, Florida has led the nation in the numbers of new COVID-19 cases, and those numbers have continued to climb in the Sunshine State.
According to the most recent national data released last week by the U.S. Department of Health:
— No other state in America is seeing nearly as many COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals as Florida.
On July 31, Florida’s total of 10,211 was almost as many as the next two states combined. Texas reported 6,512 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, and California, 4,353. Georgia was fourth, reporting 2,416 inpatient beds used for COVID-19 patients.
— It’s getting worse, with increasing numbers of new admissions of COVID-19 patients reported most days over the past two weeks in Florida.
Also, on July 31, 1,749 adults and 50 children were newly admitted to Florida hospitals with confirmed cases of COVID-19, more than Texas and California combined on that day. On Saturday, Texas reported 956 newly admitted COVID-19 patients of all ages, and California, 678. Georgia was fourth again, with 537 new COVID-19 patients in hospitals.

And there is a point in there somewhere about Covid19 ??

COVID-19 patients continue to fill Florida hospitals because the treasonous Dementia Joe Biden Sadministration and his DemoKKKrat comrades continue to intentionally flood Florida with untested, un-vaccinated, criminal, gangbanging, illegal aliens.
Add to that the $28k bonus hospitals get for every patient coded as Covid… and you have the DJ Biden created mayhem and death we have today.

Not to worry – Emperor DeSantis will just issue another executive edict that bars people from going to the hospital with the virus. Then the numbers will go down. Simple. Problem solved !!!!!!

Congratulations, you made the most ignorant post today. It’s really sad that you are so anti freedom and are so scared of everything that you feel you have to post your ignorance.

A remarkable indicator of true and competent leadership occurs when a decision maker realizes that the course they’ve set is the wrong one and they immediately reverse direction and admit that a huge mistake has been made.
Governor Ron DeSantis won’t admit to himself or others that the thickheaded course that he has set for the State of Florida is not in the best interest for the life and safety of the residents, tourist and cruisers.
The DeSantis policies didn’t erupt overnight. They’ve been nurtured for two years in coordination with Donald Trump’s failed leadership policies.
For the past six weeks DeSantis has marketed Florida as a maskless Covid free safe haven. This has attracted his national band of unvaccinated maskless followers to use our State as an experimental tourist Covid petri dish. The outcome was swift and predictable to anyone who believes in science.
Rightly so, Florida is now the epicenter for National and International media speculation on Covid mismanagement by elected officials. Tourist have never shown an interest in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas or other central plain states that are also showing of a Covid surge….. but tourist do care about Florida….. so we are in the spotlight.
DeSantis’s intent is to do for the USA what he has done to Florida! He’s irrationally branded this death wish experiment as a march to freedom! He must be stopped! Like Trump, DeSantis can never be allowed in the Oval Office.
The battle lines for and against stupid and incompetence have been drawn and will play out in the coming weeks in courts because the citizens of Florida can’t think of a better way to invest their hard earned tax dollars!
Stay tuned! The Republican Party has a long way down before it hits bottom.

Better a Republican than any democrat. We need to be Americans, not liberal sheep. DESANTIS is right and you are wrong. Get over it.

Omg. Duffus Desantis is willingly slaughtering Floridians! Dear God STOP HIM! Duffus Desantis next target are our children ! Get out Desantis!

Be glad we have a governor with a bit of common sense. We could have a democrat and we would all be screwed.

Just wondering what hospital all of these people are supposedly in. I know numerous people who work in hospitals all over the Tampa Bay Area and my wife is a nurse. They have a few COVID cases but the vast majority of their patients are just normal ER idiots and other sick people.

TWOFER’S CAN NOW REST IN PEACE
Known as Palm Beach’s other Rush Limpdough…… D. Farrel, a longtime conservative radio host from West Palm Beach, Florida, who was a vocal opponent of the coronavirus vaccine and vehement critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci, died Aug. 4 of complications from COVID-19, according to his radio sources. He was 65.
After calling Fauci a “power-tripping lying freak” and urging people not to get vaccinated as recently as June, Farrel changed his tune after contracting the virus himself and entering the hospital roughly three weeks ago.
AND ANOTHER FREEDUMB REPUBLICAN
Galveston, Texas GQP Representative and anti-mask advocate H Scott Apley stated several months ago that the Pfizer vaccine was an “enemy of the people!” He later advocated for public mask burnings.
On Friday of last week he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia like symptoms. His wife, who also tested positive …… with a GQP friends help immediately set up a GO FUND ME page.
Less than a week later H Scott Apley died of Covid. Of course his hospital bills will be covered with your tax money.
