Ron DeSantis ‘Results’ ad spotlights gratitude for Governor

Results DeSantis
'When they attacked you, you didn't cave.'

A new positive ad from the Ron DeSantis re-election campaign finds a lot of ways to say thank you … to the Governor.

“When they attacked you, you didn’t cave,” the script contends. “You stood strong for the people of Florida.”

The minute-long “Results,” rolled out Tuesday, offers a narrative journey through the Governor’s first term, with unity provided by gratitude for DeSantis from Floridians representing all walks of life for stances he took as Governor.

“Today we delivered for the people of Florida yet again,” DeSantis says to kick off the spot.

A female bartender with a Midwestern accent declared in agreement, “he saved our jobs.” A short order cook chimed in, “and kept us going.”

A mechanic broke from a repair job to agree.

“They tried to shut us down and you saved our business,” said the 50ish male from the underside of a car.

A law enforcement officer also found something to celebrate. As DeSantis’ voice reminded listeners of $1,000 bonuses for cops, a middle-aged cop said the Governor “had our backs.” And a veteran extolled DeSantis for having “honored our service.”

DeSantis has messaged aggressively his skepticism of various COVID-19 precautions used elsewhere, and appreciation for that featured here also, with a nurse celebrating his “facts, not fear” approach to pandemic management.

“And you let us decide,” said a fireman, presumably referring to vaccination status.

Children can’t vote. But they can say thank you, as one did here, for “letting me go to school.”

“You gave me a voice,” added a woman who seemed to be cast as the minor’s mother. Presumably this refers to Parental Rights in Education legislation.

Seniors and those who love them also thanked DeSantis for having “put us first” and “not letting them keep us apart.”

“You protected our right to worship together in person,” a middle-aged man said outside of a church.

This is a 3-pack ad buy from the Republican Party of Florida, with a disclaimer acknowledging Attorney General Ashley Moody and CFO Jimmy Patronis. See the spot here.

Florida is free. We don’t want disciples of Der Fuhrer like Cuomo, Newsom, Pritzker running the show.

Yeah, “freedom” only for what Fascist DeSantis approves of, otherwise his secret police force that answers only to him hauls you off to the gulag, never to be seen again.

You have no f*cking idea what “freedom” is, and DerSantis is the biggest threat the nation faces today. Keep stuffing more even more of his ballsack into your mouth-hole, princess.

Jay Smif yet another one of the Corsin, Offen, Crist cast of characters. Yes I know what freedom is and I’m much more aware of it that you could ever imagine. I’ve been there and done that. You on the other hand still live at home with mom and dad, and really have done nothing with your life besides punch on a keyboard. Internet sensation you are in your own mind.

Stop drinking the kook aid (and no it’s not a spelling error). This is a racist, fascist administration. His commercials are so white I need sunglasses to watch. Again, not a spelling error. Anyone who promotes hate against any child, LGBTQ+ Included. Doesn’t deserve the public’s respect or vote. Ron Be Gone!

You’re a 100% right. And the commercial is funny because all the people they’re saying that he opened for them. They were all essential workers of course they kept working I know yes I have a central workers in my family. Is auto repair shops were open. Irescensial workers. This nurses the same way. The sheriffs and firefighters also the same. People in Florida drinking the Kool aid thinking that hes so great he is the most racist homophobic fake Christian I’ve ever seen. We need to vote blue and get the state back to honesty. Get rid of all the trumplikkkins.

hmmm- great rebuttal commercial. lets roll the names of the thousands of Floridians who died for that “freedom” Yeah, thanks DeSantis, my parents kept working, and died as you denied there was a pandemic. Did I see teachers thank DeSantis about the war declared on them? Calling them groomers, racists, woke, whatever??Thank you, DeSantis, the funeral directors did great during your little war on science.

Sorry Peachy, I don’t live in either of those states. I live here. I care about what happens in Florida- quit deflecting and defending. Face the facts- your guy is an authoritarian putz who cares nothing about you or anyone else who has to live here.

Don’t run from it. Facts are that Kalifornia with its lock down policies had more Covid deaths than Florida. That’s that fact, you deflect. Imagine if Gillum was in charge. What a disaster that would be. Thanks to those that elected DeSantis and many thanks that will vote for his re-election.

Gosh..the name of this site is Florida Politics, with an “F” see if you can stick to the topic at hand and to the state we actually reside in. And BTW, California begins with a “C” not a “K” . What kind of dolt has a hatred for a state? Is it the weather, the people, the beaches, hey we got them, too, the celebrities, the cement ponds? Tell us what drives your weird obsessions against women and states?

            Couldn’t disagree more mis believer.
Impeach is correct. Florida is the model that stands tall, and leads the country thanks by Gov Ron.

Regrets over lost ones, blaming Gov Ron is a cop out, Fauci and Biden bear over a million that passed away. With a pre made vaccine available.
Florida led seniors getting inoculated by Gov, per Biden’s HHS.

California had the strictest of shutdowns, and the most lengthy and it didn’t stop Covid! You couldn’t even have outside eating, churches and the beaches were closed. Some of the schools are just opening. Some are remote still.

            Gov Ron set the bar.

California contributes to the nation financially… Florida is a grifter/taker state. For every dollar that Florida gives the USA…it takes four. This is because of all the conservatives hoarding their money, not paying taxes, gambling with housing, and the rest of the state being born and dying in the same tax bracket 😆

Be proud of your accomplishments, Desanctimonious: rich donors who jumped to the front of the covid vaccine line, the teacher with pay #48 in the nation, the manatee calf whose mother was starved, the pregnant poor teen whose contraceptives Ron vetoed, the Catholic Church who cheered for the veto, the boy who doesn’t understand why he can’t go to Disney, the mother whose “parents’ rights” were denied by book banning, the grandma with long covid who caught it at church because Ron said it was safe, the trans girl exploited by Ron’s culture wars, all the people who lost their 1st Amendment rights,

the pedophile’s victim who listened to Ron joke about “groomers”, the pedophile’s victim who Ron’s abortion ban made a mother, the pregnant 17 year old who was denied an abortion because of her GPA!!! the Catholic Church who cheered even more, the Catholic Bishop for whom it was porn, the neo-nazis Ron refused to condemn, the family who moved because they couldn’t pay rent, the kids Ron ordered to take off their masks, the state worker who lost his freedom to invest in socially responsible companies, the entrapped felons…

He won’t stop himself. Vote him out

That commercial is the dirtiest spin on the atrocities he has suffered upon Florid. His commercial leaves out the deaths from opening those facilities and infecting the other patients and staff. He had the data on COVID changed to hide the numbers so residents couldn’t be well informed, then reduced it to once a week. Spent MILLIONS with his buddy, to fix the unemployment system that didn’t get fixed and left thousands of people without any income. Only focusing on COVID here as not enough room to fire back at all his lying propaganda.
