Ron DeSantis says Walt Disney Co. employees back him over the company’s C-Suite in the ongoing war on “woke.”
During a return engagement on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, the Florida Governor contended rank-and-file Disney workers are with him and not “‘woke’ executives” — comments he bases on the 2022 election.
“The sad part about it guys is, when we were having this fight with Disney in 2022, most of the employees in their Orlando area theme parks agreed with us,” DeSantis said.
“I won Osceola County for the first time a Republican has done in a generation by 7 (percentage points), which is where the majority of Disney employees live,” he added.
It’s unclear how he extrapolated the Disney workers from the more than 400,000 residents of the county, which includes more than 247,000 registered voters. But he continued the analysis anyway.
“This is really a cadre of ‘woke’ executives in Burbank trying to impose this agenda down on the rest of the company. I think it’s been catastrophic,” DeSantis said.
For what it’s worth, new polling says DeSantis is getting political mileage in the state of Florida from his ongoing battle with Disney.
In a new poll from Florida Atlantic University, 47% of respondents side with DeSantis, while just 35% back the entertainment company. Among Republicans, 64% back the Governor.
Asked what advice he would give the company, DeSantis urged it to get closer to the original values of Walt Disney rather than “woke” Disney.
“It’s in the best interest of Disney shareholders that they get refocused on their previous core mission and get the ‘woke’ out of there. And it goes beyond when you start talking about kids because some of the ‘woke’ in society is kind of annoying and, you know, sometimes you just kind of roll your eyes when you start talking about our kids,” DeSantis advised.

Let’s just say for argument’s sake that woke truly is kind of annoying. How does the annoying-ness of “woke” qualify Ron DeSantis or anyone else for being any voter’s choice for President of USA?
A few dots of the connecting variety. They are missing from Ron’s campaign. The Ron Campaign talks anti-Woke, anti-Woke, and more anti-Woke, but never makes any argument for Ron.
Woke goes to Florida to die. Is Disney dead? If so, I missed that.

I, Earl Pitts American, have been engaged in several meetings with Disney employees since we, in effect, kicked Disney management to the curb and, in effect, have taken over the day-to-day operations of Disney’s Orlando location.
Seventy seven precent of all Disney employees are just sick and ashamed of Disney’s total sell-out to the left and the irreperable damage Disney has inflicted on The Precious Childern of America and The World.
Amazingly a full 86% of Florida’s Disney employees are looking forward to the great “Disney Emancipation Day” after America’s Govornor The Great Ron “The Ronald” Desantis becomes POTUS Ron Desantis and is able to free their long suffering “family” trapped like prisioners in the employ of Disney Land out in California. Many Florida Disney employees have described “Holocast Type” of housing and punishment inflicted on their California brothers and sisters.
