Donald Trump camp fires back after Ron DeSantis says ‘of course’ Trump lost in 2020

The Donald Trump campaign isn’t letting Ron DeSantis’ assertion that the result of the 2020 Presidential Election was legitimate after all go unchallenged.

The former President’s Make America Great Again super PAC claims the Florida Governor and 2024 Primary rival “groveled” to NBC News by saying Joe Biden is the rightful President.

“Ron DeSantis will say whatever he can to keep his campaign afloat, even though he was one of America’s leading election critics until his campaign needed a ‘reset.’ Ron will do whatever it takes to hoodwink a few more donors into giving to his failed campaign,” claimed Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Make America Great Again Inc.

In the interview that aired Monday, DeSantis said Trump “didn’t have control over his own government” and “helped facilitate that whole set of circumstances” that led to the loss to Biden. In a counterargument, MAGA Inc. produced a series of vintage DeSantis quotes where he supported the former President’s false claim that the election was not legitimate.

“I would just urge everyone to donate to the President’s legal relief. I know you’ve talked about a number of suits and I think some of those have promise,” DeSantis said during a November 2020 episode of the “Ingraham Angle” on Fox News.

On that same episode, he urged viewers to go further.

“I would also tell them, especially if you’re in those states that have Republican Legislatures like Pennsylvania and Michigan and all these places, call your state Representatives and your state Senators. Under Article II of the Constitution, presidential electors are done by Legislatures and the schemes they create in the framework. If there’s departure from that and they’re not following the law, if they’re ignoring law, then they can provide remedies as well, so I would exhaust every option to make sure we have a fair count.”

In that interview, the Governor also wouldn’t call Biden the “rightful winner.”

“Fox called Arizona very early. Now, the President is closing in. There’s over 300,000 ballots outstanding, he’s down only 46,000, and yet that is called for Biden. Meanwhile, North Carolina, the President is up 76,000 votes and there is at most 150,000 votes outstanding and probably not even close to that much, and yet that’s not called for the President? So, there’s been a double standard and there seems to be there’s been more of a rush to call states for Biden and to create a narrative that Biden is the rightful winner,” DeSantis said, in the same “Ingraham Angle” episode.

DeSantis also would not immediately call Biden the President-elect.

“It’s not for me to do, but here’s what I would say: Obviously we did our thing in Florida, the Electoral College voted. What’s going to happen is going to happen. But I can tell you I think a lot of the frustration for folks who supported the President is, we were four years with people not accepting him,” the Governor said in December 2020.

Everyone but the most mentally ĺimited Trumptrash knows Trump lost . . . legitimately.
    Then lost a coup attempt.
And then will lose some trials.
    Then . . . LOCK HIM UP !

There were so many irregularities in the election no one can say who won. You say what you say based on faith in an honest system. Trump says what he says based upon what appears to be a very broken system.
Fact – Dems have avoided cleaning voter roles. What happens to ballots that do not go to legit voters. You cannot say because there is generally no policy across the nation.
Fact – The mules in Florida had a big effect. How can you deny it? Most Dems ridicule the opposition simply because they are not smart enough to make a sound arguement.

I’ll bet the UFOs were probably up to something too.

If Trump had won, he and the MAGA trumpsuckers would be saying it was a “PERFECT” election.

Everything you said is, for the most part, wrong.
I work in Conservative Talk Radio and regularly talk to top elected officials, almost all, republicans, and, have had numerous conversations with Elections Supervisors in Florida. and, have personally had very qualified lawyers, look at the 60plus court cases trumps team filed over the 2020 election results. not one time, was any evidence of election fraud presented by trump lawyers, nor, did they ever, in court, allege, election fraud. In other words, they themslelves, new Trumps election Fraud Conspiracy talking points, was all one huge LIE! Dude, get over it. Facts are facts. Trump lost. And he is the first President to not officially concede for the good of the nation, and the first time in our history, we didn’t have a peaceful transfer of power, all because, of his ego, not because of Fraud. His own head of Cyber Security, called the 2020 election, “the most secure ever.”

Facts should be supported by sources. You have none except yourself.

No court that Trump petitioned found any basis for overturning election results.

Is Trumpy growing very afraid of lock-up?
He’s probably immune from an actual prison.
But he could be effectively locked up.
Largely silenced might be the best part.

I expected more fury from Trump personally.
Maybe the indictments and prospect of prison have him smothered a bit.
