Casey DeSantis says ‘Bidenomics’ forces her to shop at Walmart

Casey Ron DeSantis Never Back Down
'Everything is so darn expensive and my children grow up so fast that I need $2 t-shirts. OK?'

Florida’s First Lady is explaining her penchant for discount shopping, blaming the current President’s economy for her need for cheaply-priced children’s apparel.

During a Sunday event in Charles City, Casey DeSantis said the Joe Biden economy drove her need to patronize the big box store in a way that has become part of the news cycle in recent months.

“Guilty as charged. I shop at Walmart. Thank you Bidenomics, OK?  Everything is so darn expensive and my children grow up so fast that I need $2 t-shirts. OK?”

The First Lady was rehashing her otherwise familiar routine about how she doesn’t mind being called “Walmart Melania,” a scathing sobriquet intended to imply that she was an imitation of former President Donald Trump’s First Lady, Melania Trump.

This has been a durable part of her campaign appearances.

“They refer to me as the ‘Walmart Melania.’ And so I just had a beer. I can’t imagine what the media is going to say now as a result of all of this,” the First Lady quipped on the Ruthless Podcast this summer.

The use of humor to undermine the insult was a new approach from DeSantis, who previously addressed the “Walmart Melania” and “America’s Karen” epithets in more sober terms.

“One thing that the corporate media did get right about me: I do shop at Walmart,” DeSantis said on the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”

“I think it’s interesting and you probably can sympathize with this when they come after you and they’re just calling you names. That means they don’t want to litigate the merits of their case. They don’t want to have that conversation. They want to call you names. They want to try to get you to back down. But I can tell you the No. 1 thing — we will not back down when it comes to our family,” the First Lady added.

Why don’t we talk about DeSaantis family net worth increase since taking office? A “book deal” is the easiest way for a “donor” to funnel money into a bought politician by purchasing a boat load of copies. Next up is lobbyist and “speaking engagements”.

I’m sure she’s not shopping at Walmart.

Casey’s dresses are over 2,000-10,000. Desantis drove the state on our taxpayers money to promote his book. They are continuing to use taxpayers money to campaign. Desantis is shielding his private flights and destinations to us. His new law. They are sleeping in hotels and eating in restaurants with their campaign money. They don’t pay bills. If, Walmart Melania can’t purchase clothes for her children with “tiny D’s” salary……time to go back to school. Didn’t she major in economics? Don’t select these two.

Puhleeze. Casey lives rent-free in public housing (a mansion) and is chauffered around in a huge gas-guzzling SUV private jet, paid for by taxpayers. Florida, under her husband’s leadership, has the highest inflation in the nation! That’s due in large measure to Ron prioritizing his personal feuds with Disney and drag queens over skyrocketing car and homeowner insurance.

Gas guzzling SUV’s, high property insurance rates. Funny. Are you aware the big reason for our property insurance rates is hurricanes? With regards to the SUV swipe, it makes me think of John Kerry flying around in his private jet telling all of us to reduce our carbon footprint. Much like Al Gore saying the same thing while multiple AC zones keep his house warm and cool. Hypocrisy 101.

        November 20, 2023 at 1:53 pm

Are you aware that Florida is not the only state to get pummeled by hurricanes? Even the insurance companies don’t use that as their only excuse for higher rates in Florida than Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, etc. They note that Florida has a legal system that invites fraud and excessive litigation against insurance companies: “… despite accounting for less than a tenth (9%) of all homeowners’ claims in the US, Florida leads the country in insurance-related litigation, taking up almost four-fifths (79%) of the nation’s total.” (
That means it is up to the legislators and Governor of Florida to fix the problem, and so far they have done very little.

Funny reading all you Demo’s taking shots at our First Lady of Florida. Now if “Shiny Teeth” Newsom runs against “Dementia” Joe I will look forward to reading about Newsom spending Kalifornia money flying around the country and campaigning. Let’s not forget his trip to China and that famous dinner in wine country during Covid where he locked down the state but there he is with no mask on drinking and eating with those Demo elites. Yes let’s see you Demo’s go after him. Who paid for his new teeth by the way and his manicures and pedicures?

Remember when cartoons used to occasionally show impoverished characters wearing burlap bags or big cloth flour sacks? Usually with “Flour” printed on them. One small end cut open for legs and three smaller slits for arms and legs.
Wearing a wooden barrel with suspender straps was usually for those who had just lost all their money.
