Lenny Curry challenges supporters to “Duval door brawl”

Those who have been following the Lenny Curry campaign know that knocking on doors is a huge part of the campaign strategy. They are upping the ante this weekend, though, challenging doorknockers to a “Duval door brawl” to be held  Saturday.

“The rules are simple: organize a group and start knocking doors. Whichever group can walk the most doors in one day will win a VIP invite for a personal meeting with a soon-to-be-announced national figure,” reads the email from Campaign Manager Brian Swensen.

Sign up to volunteer now so you can be prepared for Saturday,” the email continues. “Make an additional comment that you want to be a leader in the Duval Door Brawl, and we’ll send you further instructions for how to participate in the competition. ”

The identity of the national figure is a mystery. One thing is for sure though: it’s probably not Bill Clinton, given the strong rumor that the 42nd President “is scheduled to appear at a Wednesday rally for Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown,” according to Politico‘s Marc Caputo.
