Tampa Democratic Party strategist Ana Cruz is moving on up, having recently been named to the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.
A former executive director with the Florida Democratic Party, Cruz currently manages the Floridian Partner’s Central Florida office in Ybor City, a lobbying firm with offices across the state. She can also been seen frequently during election time as a political analyst for Bay News 9.
“The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce is the premiere business association across the greater Tampa Bay area,” Cruz said in a statement. “As a Tampa native, I have proudly watched our community prosper, and I am very honored to be chosen by the Chamber to help lead our region forward to even greater accomplishments. This is an exciting time for the Tampa Bay region and I look forward to working with the Chamber to ensure continued quality of life and economic prosperity for generations to come.”
Cruz is the daughter of state Democratic Rep. Janet Cruz, who has been representing House District 62 in Tampa for the past five years.
