Carly Fiorina digital ad highlights “momentum” in Iowa

Carly Fiorina released the first digital ad in her race to be the Republican presidential nominee.

The 90-second spot, titled Momentum, mentions the “early buzz” for the former Hewlett-Packard CEO as she becomes the only female candidate in a crowded GOP field.

“We need leadership in the White House now that will unlock the potential of this great nation by changing the order of things in Washington, D.C.,” Fiorina says in a statement. “Challenging the status quo.”

The ad, produced by the Carly for America campaign, pushes her unique experiences as CEO and features a woman in a focus group saying Fiorina is a “good communicator … she knows what she is talking about.”

We need someone who can win the job,” Fiorina says. “It’s worth considering someone who can do the job.”

Another clip has a pair of pundits pointing out that Fiorina does what none of the other Republican candidates seems comfortable doing: taking on Hillary Clinton “squarely.”

This weekend, Fiorina told Fox News Sunday that although she thinks Clinton is hardworking and intelligent, she and Bill Clinton are “personification of what 82 percent now consider” the professional political class.” Hillary, and other professional politicians, Fiorina said, are “more concerned about preserving … power and privilege” than “doing the people’s business.”

Despite the buzz and her increased visibility in early primary states such as Iowa, Fiorina remains close to the bottom in polling, placing 13th in the latest RealClearPolitics average, with 1.5 points.

Momentum is now available on YouTube.
