John Morgan writes “big check” for new medical marijuana push

Saying he’s putting his money where his mouth is, Orlando trial lawyer John Morgan has sent an email to supporters announcing he’s writing a “big check for the patients who need medical marijuana.”

“I’m doing it because the Legislature has ended their Session and again failed to deliver access to the suffering patients who need medical marijuana,” Morgan says.

Morgan asks for donors to contribute to the cause and also posted this video link.

Despite spending millions of his own money, Morgan’s United For Care advocacy group failed last fall to get a constitutional amendment proposal on the November ballot. The proposal to legalize marijuana for medical use received 58 percent of the statewide vote last November, falling just shy of the needed 60 percent.

Another petition push is expected to begin this summer to get a new proposal to voters in November 2016.

I’m just baffled at how you could vote “no” to something like this.

“Should people be allowed to get medicine that will make them feel better?”

    “NO I DON’T THINK SO”

    Really?
