Holland & Knight LLP announced its operations center is leaving downtown Tampa, moving about 240 employees out of its current location at 201 N. Franklin Street.
The law firm, one of the largest in the country with 21 U.S. and two international bureaus, will relocate the 41,000 square-foot Tampa City Center office to a new 50,000-square-foot facility at 524 Grand Regency Boulevard in Brandon.
The Tampa operations facility provides services for accounting, finance, human resources, information technology and marketing departments.
According to an email obtained by Florida Politics, the move will not affect the firm’s law office at 100 North Tampa St.
The move, which will occur sometime in the fall of 2015, was due to the firm’s substantial growth. Holland & Knight reported $688 million in gross revenue for 2014. The new space will be customized to the firm’s needs offering a more productive, collaborative, and comfortable work environment. Other tenants in the corporate park include Coca-Cola Company, HSBC, Bright House Networks, and Avaya.
Finalized in February 2015, the new location was the result of a months-long search, where Holland & Knight evaluated space needs and options for the fast-growing firm, which nearly doubled administrative staff since 2005.
The Brandon facility will support the Tampa office, as well as other U.S. offices and the firm’s Bogota, Colombia and Mexico City offices.
In 2015, Law 360 ranked Holland & Knight the 12th largest law firm in the U.S., and is the third largest law firm in Florida.
