The race between veteran Jacksonville Republican Dick Kravitz and Duval County School Board member Jason Fischer continues, in terms of fundraising, to be a one sided affair.
The big donation of August, for Fischer’s Conservative Solutions for Jacksonville PAC, was a $10,000 haul from Tampa’s John Kirtley, who, like Fischer, is committed to educational reform.
This brings Fischer’s PAC up to $40,000 raised in total.
His campaign account, meanwhile, saw $5,250 added to the tally, pushing Fischer over $114,000, on the strength of max contributions from J.B. Coxwell, Committee for a Stronger Florida, ALS Education, and Randle Richardson.
Meanwhile, Kravitz’s fundraising machine doesn’t seem to be operating at peak efficiency as of yet.
August was the slowest month yet for the former Jacksonville City Councilman and State Legislator: only $1,350 total, bringing Kravitz up to $30,300.
The biggest name in Kravitz’s August donor pool: former Jacksonville Community Council head Lois Chepenik, who ponied up $100 for the Kravitz campaign.
Fischer maintains, in total, more than a 5:1 fundraising advantage.
