Email Insights: Buddy Dyer launches grassroots efforts on Saturday
Mayor Buddy Dyer

The Buddy Dyer campaign will launch it’s grassroots operation on Saturday morning near downtown Orlando, in their latest efforts to help the Mayor win his fifth term.

In an email to supporters Dyer highlighted his message on Wednesday.

“The campaign is heating up and our team is fully committed to working day and night to ensure we can continue to move Orlando forward,” wrote Dyer.

“Together, we have built a thriving city that is a great place to live and raise a family, with quality jobs and access to world-class entertainment. My passion for Orlando is stronger than it’s ever been and there is so much more that we can accomplish. We cannot allow this progress to be derailed and I need your help to guarantee a victory.”

Dyer faces opposition from businessman and veteran Paul Paulson, whose challenge Dyer has called “serious.”

Paulson is capable of launching a large, self-funded campaign revolving around the 17.7% tax increase passed by Dyer and the city council last year.

While the Mayor has nearly undivided support from the business community and high name ID, he’s evidently not taking any chances.

Also running is local medical student “Sunshine” Linda Grund.
