HD 11 Barry Holloway raises $1,850 in September

Barry Holloway

In a crowded six-way race for fundraising in state House District 11, Bryceville Republican (and Nassau County Commissioner) Barry Holloway has struggled to compete with the Donnie Horner money machine.

That said, Holloway isn’t going away.

He loaned his campaign $10,000, which is one sign.

Another sign: Though he raised only $1,850 last month, his contributors included notable names, such as Advanced Disposal, the exceedingly politically active solid waste contractor, and Rayonier, the chemical manufacturer.

In total, Holloway has raised $8,900. Expenditures so far are less than $2,000, which means there is cash on hand for mailers and other modest modes of outreach.

The winner of this race replaces quote machine Janet Adkins.
