On Friday, Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced the reappointments of two members to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, as well as two to the Jacksonville Port Authority.
Teresa Davlantes and Frank Mackesy were re-appointed to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.
Davlantes is a member of the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization. Additionally, she directs the EPIC program at Jacksonville University.
Mackesy, meanwhile, is among the most respected lawmen in North Florida. A former undersheriff in the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, he’s director of campus security at the University of North Florida. As well, his name has been in the mix to join the Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund Board of Trustees.
As well, notable Jacksonville Republican John Falconetti, a former Duval County GOP chair with ample experience on boards including the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors, was reappointed to the JPA.
Also reappointed was Ed Fleming Jr., also a member of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission.
All terms would end in September 2019.
