In a crowded HD 11 race, every endorsement counts. And Sheri Treadwell got one on Thursday from Jacksonville political veteran Jim Overton.
Overton, a three term Property Appraiser and former City Council member, said Treadwell was the “the kind of fresh voice we need in Tallahassee.”
“With Jim Overton’s leadership experience in local government, he knows our area inside and out. He is truly a devoted public servant, and I am honored to have his support,” said Treadwell. “I look forward to working with him and other local leaders to keep our area strong.”
Overton was mulling a run for mayor in the 2015 election, before the Lenny Curry juggernaut pre-empted his ambitions, and those of a few others.
