December a slow fundraising month for HD 80 candidate Byron Donalds

December marked Byron Donalds’ slowest fundraising period of 2015, according to campaign finance records.

Donalds received just on $150 check during the one-month fundraising period. Since opening his campaign account in March, Donalds has raised $72,505.

Donalds is running for the House District 80 seat currently held by Rep. Matt Hudson. He faces Joe Davidow, a Naples Republican, in the August primary.

Campaign finance show Donalds spent $2,216 during the one month period, including $1,200 for a voter database. He’s spent $12,477 since March.

Davidow has raised $23,279 and spent $3,590 since opening his account in June.

Democrat John Lundin is also running for the state House District 80 seat.

Hudson, who can’t run for re-election because of term limits, is running for state Senate. He’ll face Rep. Kathleen Passidomo.
