Mitch Perry Report for 2.3.16 – Will Democrats debate Thursday night?

Mitch Perry

Good morning from Nashua, New Hampshire, where I’m extremely annoyed at the level of service at my motel – which will go nameless – for at least one more day.

Working on little sleep due to excessively exuberant day laborers who couldn’t shut up until the wee hours of the morning in the room adjoining mine, I look forward with driving up north this morning to check out “Marco-mentum,” the term that the Rubioites have applied to their man, after he adroitly played the media into playing up his third-place finish in the Iowa caucuses on Monday, a la Bill Clinton and “the comeback kid” narrative after he lost to Paul Tsongas here in 1992.

We arrived into Manchester, New Hampshire, late Tuesday afternoon, and after a short jaunt to our motel room in Nashua, took off to nearby Milford to watch Donald Trump speak to an enthusiastic crowd.

We’re also hoping to check out Hillary Clinton today, who has three appearances scheduled today before she engages in a town-hall event with Bernie Sanders in Manchester on CNN at 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, it’s still unclear whether the two will tangle in a debate Thursday night. The Sanders camp blasted Clinton for a fundraising appearance that she has scheduled in New York City on Thursday.

We hope you’ll check out our running blog elsewhere on the FP site – WiFi permitting, of course.

Before we left Tampa we did notice that former federal prosecutor Andrew Warren announced he’s raised more than $50,000 in the first month of his campaign for Hillsborough County State Attorney versus Republican Mark Ober.
