A reliable source has told FloridaPolitics.com about an interesting exit poll outside of his polling place on the Southside of Jacksonville, related to School Board issues.
The source, who is in the council district of Lori Boyer and the school board district of Ashley Smith-Juarez, was asked his opinion on a variety of matters, including the proposed boundary changes and Nikolai Vitti.
Additionally, the poll asked him his preference among Matt Carlucci, Jay Farhat, and “someone else.”
The pollster was mum on saying who she was polling for, just saying it was a “private group.”
Carlucci’s name has been linked to a City Council run in 2019; he’s been there before. Farhat, meanwhile, wasn’t able to break through to the top tier of sheriff candidates when he ran in 2015. However, he was able to fundraise with the best of them, bringing in a quarter million dollars during his campaign.
School board would be a step down for Carlucci, and an unexpected move for Farhat. They seem much more likely to be in the City Council scrum. So why would their names be in a poll full of school board questions? The plot thickens.
More details on this are forthcoming as we get them.
